Incentive Project

Our incentive project enhances a child’s mental and social development. Opening opportunities to attend activities such as dance, sports, music, art class, and other positive outlets, creating a community that supports youth development. The collective efforts of Umbrella Impact and other community organizations alleviate the stress on low to moderate income families seeking positive activities for their children. Families that cannot afford the fees, the purchase of uniforms, or equipment. Umbrella Impact assists families with scholarships for their child’s commitment toward a fee-based activity. The Umbrella Impact community appreciates you and your child’s dedication to academic progress, positive youth development, and loyalty to community growth. 


Here are the qualifications for this project:


Children must progress, C or more (proof required)

Children between the ages of 9-14

Low-to -moderate income familiesLive and attend schools in West Haven or surrounding areas

Enrolling or enrolled in activity (proof required)

10 to WIN Project

Umbrella Impact’s “10 to WIN” Project, our phase two project, empowers ten children from low to moderate-income families to obtain essential financial knowledge and skills through practice and hands-on learning. We focus on practicing financial skills, character building, and community engagement. Our unique curriculum promotes children’a active citizenship by encouraging them to contribute to the community, stimulating a sense of social responsibility and connectedness. Workshops on budgeting, saving, managing debt, and investing are a few of our topics for practice. In addition to building character, leadership, and financial knowledge, there are opportunities to assist in keeping the environment clean. Children learn the importance of redistributing wealth, nurturing self and others, and community engagement. 

Here are the qualifications for project:

Children between the ages of 9-14 or grades 4-8 from low to moderate-income families

No more than ten children every rotation - project rotates every six months

Committment is mandatory to participate

Meet every Saturday (and some weekdays) in-person or via Zoom (times TBA)

Parents are responsible for transportation to and from the project locations
